This is an interesting article on the dying Ngoni language. The challenges faced by languages like Ngoni are similar however. Ngoni is being replaced by Chichewa or Chinyanja.

The standard Pimsleur Comprehensive course is the mainstay of the Pimsleur series. Introductory sets are available, though. For Spanish, German and soon to be for French and Italian, 100 Pimsleur lessons available. The majority of languages include at least one thirty lesson course.

The Chichewa Language

The Chichewa language is an African language spoken by more than 9 million people primarily in the countries of Malawi, Mozambique, Zambia, and also in Botswana and Zimbabwe. It is one of more than 500 languages that make up the family of languages known as Bantu, which are spoken in sub-Saharan Africa.
