Ladino: The Language of Spanish Jews

, , or Judeo-Spanish is part of the cultural legacy of the once great Jewish civilization of the Iberian peninsula of the medieval period. The language consisting of medieval Spanish mixed with Hebrew, and to an extent Arabic and Turkish depending on the locality of the community continues to exist in small numbers the Sephardic Jewish communities still found in Instanbul.
