Learning Luganda with the FSI Luganda Language Course

The Foreign+Service+Institute" rel="tag">Foreign Service Institute, a department within of the U.S. State Department created a series of courses aimed at providing its overseas diplomatic personnel with practical Luganda language skills. FSI Luganda Course

This course presents all essential grammar for Luganda. This course includes extensive dialogues, explanations of basic language structure, and a variety of practical exercises.

The Luganda Basic Course may be used in a classroom setting or as a self study program. For the classroom setting, it  contains a collection of materials that can be useful in the interaction between teachers and students.

The ultimate goal of the course is to speak the Luganda language easily. The course provides the student with all basic patterns of Luganda by imitating the speakers in the audio portion. This is coupled with vocabulary memorization which allows the student to manipulate the basic phrases covered and create a large number of sentences.

The course is now available in down loadable format, a CD-ROM version, and a conventional book and audio MP3 version.
