Quechua Phrases

February 18th, 2010 · No Comments

Quechua is a Native American language  spoken in the Andes of South America. It is the most widely spoken language family of the indigenous peoples of the Americas, with a total of probably some 6 to 8 million speakers giving the language long term longevity.

Some speakers of the Quechua language refer to it as ’runa simi’  which means “people speech”. Like most other Native American languages, the number of available courses has been limited.

One course available is a course from EuroTalk. The course teaches 450 basic words and phrases providing a working vocabulary for the student. Most mid-level conversations a person might face  in most languages, employ between a thousand to fifteen hundred words. Hence the vocabulary provided is an excellent starting point.

Be sure to check it out at our store at Talk Now Quechua course
